The AOC Chevalier-Montrachet consists not only of the Lieu-dit Chevalier-Montrachet but also a part of Le Cailleret. This inclusion is the result of lobbying efforts by vineyard owners in Le Cailleret, who argued that wines produced from their vineyards had historically been sold under the Chevalier-Montrachet name, ultimately leading to their promotion to Grand Cru status.
