Frascati is a white wine-producing region with vineyards located on the northern slopes and foothills of the Colli Albani, mostly facing west and northwest, at elevations between 70 and 500 meters, southeast of Rome—the capital of Italy and of the Lazio region.
In 2011, the Superiore and Cannellino styles were granted their own DOCG status.
