DO Getariako Txakolina is a wine-producing region in País Vasco, and in 2007, its production area, which initially consisted of only the three municipalities of Aia, Getaria, and Zarautz, was expanded to cover the entire province of Gipuzkoa. Among the three Txakoli-producing regions, it is the closest to the sea, with an average annual rainfall reaching 1,600 mm.
