Wine Grape Varieties
Sauvignon Blanc
Sauvignon Blanc is a white grape variety originating in France. Bordeaux and the Loire Valley have been traditional regions for Sauvignon Blanc, and it has also started to be cultivated in regions such as Languedoc in the southern parts of France, with the planted area now exceeding 30,000 hectares. New Zealand and Chile, following France, are the countries where Sauvignon Blanc is most widely planted, and in both countries, it is the most widely cultivated white grape variety.
