Wine Grape Varieties

Semillon

Semillon is a white grape variety originating in France. It is a key white grape in the Bassin Aquitaine, with around 9,000 hectares under cultivation. Due to its susceptibility to noble rot, it plays an important role in the production of sweet white wines. However, Semillon is often blended with Sauvignon, and wines made exclusively from Semillon are relatively rare.
