Turan is a black grape variety originating in Hungary. It was created through artificial crossing in 1964 between Bikavér 8 and Gárdonyi Géza. In Hungary, it is cultivated on approximately 170 hectares, with the Egri wine region (Egri borvidék) being the primary cultivation area.
