Malvasia Branca de Sao Jorge is a white grape variety originating in Portugal. It resulted from a cross between Vital and Uva Cao and is mainly cultivated on Madeira Island. In DOC Madeira, Malvasia de Sao Jorge is one of the primary grape varieties used to produce fortified wines sold under the name Malvasia (Malmsey).
