Alicante Henri Bouschet
Alicante Henri Bouschet is a black grape variety originating in France. It was created through artificial crossbreeding in 1855 between Petit Bouschet and Grenache. It is a black grape variety with red flesh. In Spain, it is known as Garnacha Tintorera, where "Tintorera" is a Spanish term meaning "dyer," referring to its deeply pigmented juice. In France, it is called Alicante Henri Bouschet, where "Alicante" is a synonym for its parent variety, Grenache.
