Wine Grape Varieties
Mueller Thurgau Weiss
Mueller Thurgau Weiss is a white grape variety originating in Germany. It was created in 1882 by crossing Riesling and Madeleine Royale in Germany. From the 1970s to the early 1990s, it was the most widely cultivated variety in Germany. The breeder, Hermann Müller, believed it was a cross between Riesling and Silvaner, which is why it also has the synonym Riesling Silvaner.
