Wine Grape Varieties
Muscat a Petits Grains Blancs
Muscat à Petits Grains Blancs is a white grape variety originating in Greece. It is widely used to produce sweet wines. In France, it is a key variety for making Vin Doux Naturel, a type of fortified wine, and similar sweet fortified wines are produced in many other countries. In Italy's Piedmont region, where the DOCG Asti is located, the grape is used to produce low-alcohol, sparkling sweet wines, with over 10,000 hectares under cultivation.
