Most communal AOCs in the Côte de Beaune are situated at elevations of approximately 250 to 350 meters. Only a few, such as AOC Saint-Aubin (300–430 m) and AOC Saint-Romain (280–420 m), have vineyards that extend to elevations exceeding 400 meters.
