Coulée de Serrant has long been renowned as the finest vineyard in Savennières. It has since been separated from the AOC Savennières and is now recognized as its own appellation, AOC Coulée de Serrant. The vineyard is a monopole owned by the Joly family, who are well known for their dedication to biodynamic farming—a method often regarded as highly mystical, even bordering on the occult.
